Looking to own a retired Standardbred? Through my daily contact with trainers and owners, I often get to hear about horses that are free to a good home. Many people still rather give their slow horses away if they know they will be cared for. Most horses are young and sound, just not fast enough. These horses will be free to a person that can provide them with a good loving home that will use them for some sort of pleasure riding or driving.
